Genomics Workshop 1 explored the impact of genomics on clinical care and provided background information on classical and molecular genetics, genetic mutations, molecular and cyto-genomic techniques as well as the associated diagnostic and technical issues.

Workshop 2 will build on knowledge gained from Workshop 1 and will focus on the social and familial impact of genomics, cytogenetic analysis and the detection and interpretation of germline and somatic sequence variants.

This workshop is intended for both Clinicians and Scientists and follows on from the Pathology Queensland Grand Rounds Genomics Sessions held on 8 February, 12 April and 7 June this year as well as Genomics Workshop 1. Everyone is encouraged to attend, but for those who are unable to attend, the sessions will be recorded and made available.
